I am a writer, ghostwriter, and editor with seven years professional experience. I have an undergraduate degree in English Literature and Creative Writing, and a Masters with Distinction in Creative Writing. My work has been published by Stonewall, The Blue Nib, and local news publications.
I have worked with various publishers, including MX Publishing, the world’s largest publisher of Sherlock Holmes fiction; and I worked as Consultant Editor for Creative Authors Ltd, a boutique literary agency with ties to US and UK markets. I edited 46% BETTER THAN DAVE (Raven Crest Books) which was shortlisted for the Bollinger Everyman Wodehouse Prize 2020, and THE WANDERERS (Sky Pony Press), winner of the 2015 USA Best Book Awards “Fiction: Young Adult” category.
I am the Fiction Editor for Thanet Writers, a local publisher, where I read and edit submissions and work with authors on developing and fine-tuning their ideas. I edited and co-ordinated our first short story anthology SHOAL, and spoke at the publication launch at the Turner Contemporary Gallery in Margate. In November 2018 I organised and ran Thanet Writers’ first NaNoWriMo write-ins, and in 2020 I judged TW’s first short story competition.
I have had the privilege of working under some amazing authors, including Charlie N. Holmberg, author of Wall Street Journal bestselling THE PAPER MAGICIAN series, who mentored me when I won a place in Pitch Wars 2015, and Scarlett Thomas, award-winning novelist and author of bestseller THE END OF MR Y, who supervised my Masters dissertation.
